The Maine Funeral Directors Association (MFDA) is the oldest and largest funeral service professional association in the state. Founded in 1925, the association is focused on several goals, but its primary goal is that of fulfilling the needs of its members. As a member of the Maine Funeral Directors Association, you will quickly learn that the association stands ready to assist you in this constantly changing profession. Membership in the association puts you in touch with some of the most creative thinking in funeral service … through personal contacts, group meetings and the printed and electronic word. Specifically designed to aid funeral service practitioners in their day-to-day operations and to contribute to their long-term professional development and success are but two of the association’s goals.
